So I finally Decided to break down and give Sony another try after what they did to the Star Wars Galaxies players with the NGE change. I picked up Vanguard so first impressions was it seems to Lack the Polish of World of Warcraft but seems more polished that the other competition I was Able to get the game to run fairly well on my computer which is a 2.4 p4 with a 9800 all in wonder and a gig of RAM. These are practically the system requirements for the game. The world is Huge and with the massive number of playable races most with there own starting cities is impressive to say the least. you get your first mount at level 10 and it's only a few silver a very reasonable price. Players later in the game have an option of player housing on not instanced housing like EQ2 but you purchase lots of land and build a house there. The houses are player made and you can purchase furnisher which is also player made to customize your how home very SWG like also guild halls will be player made also. Crafting has never been done better while you are working on crafting skills you can do work orders which don't require harvested components and make a bit of money also. Harvest is usually done at nodes or by hunting depending on what you need you will need harvested component to make items to sell or use yourself. Next is the Diplomacy system it's played like a card battle mini game and actually has strategy and fun in it neither it or crafting are boring both are a very fun and interesting sides of the game.

I admit it, I'm a bit drawn in by the thought of hunting and I love the thought of man versus beast. Despite the fact that I don't believe I'd ever actually kill an animal, (unless it decided to charge me for whatever reason) I still really like the thought of games like Cabelas hunting series.
The biggest problem I've had up til now is, I have not been able to find a game that does the actual hunting experience any justice. Once again, I'll be the first to admit, I've never been hunting and I don't have the first clue when it comes to anything regarding the sport itself. Be that as it may and regardless of my lack of knowledge or formal experience as a hunter, my intuition tells me, this game is nothing close.
